Ice Prince Wins BET Best International Act (Africa) 2013 Award

If you haven’t heard yet, our boy Ice Prince picked up the 2013 Best International Act (Africa) Award tonight in Hollywood, California.
I watched the show in its entirety to see if they’d call up our boy, but they didn’t. Well, at least, they didn’t call up winners from other continents as well as a few other awards, so that’s enough consolation. Oh by the way, the camera fell on Ice Prince and his crew as soon as Don Cheadle started talking about Nelson Mandela. loooool! Here’s hoping they’re not seeing us as “the beautiful country of Africa”, in the words of Rick Ross on twitter a few days ago.
Back to the Award itself! I think Ice Prince has worked hard to get to where he is right now, and fully deserves this award. I’m convinced there’s lots more to come from Chocolate City’s Poster Child.
Shout-out to BET for, yet again, recognizing the growth of African music, and Naija music in particular.

The  41yrs old mother of two controversial actress cum singer has released the trailer for her latest porn soft porn movie, Destructive Instinct 3&4. The last time we heard from her, she was getting married. But it looks like there was an “interesting” turn of events, as the notorious Ikebe Na Money singer, Judith Okpara, also known as AfroCandy, talks about her upcoming soft core porn movie. She also urges all the upcoming actors who aren’t afraid of getting naked to come out and audition for roles in the future.

Here’s what she wrote on her facebook page:
“I have scripts lined up for production and there will also be nudity in most of them.
So, if you are an aspiring actor and actress, [and] you have the passion and will like to get naked, send in your info/contacts for casting. I look forward to meeting and working with you.”

She then proceeded to say that:

Onyeonwu Oge Indiana hails from Anambra state, Nigeria, attended Negbenegbor International School Benin City, finished with a degree in BA that is Bachelors of Art (Theatre Arts) from University of Benin. Onyeonwu Oge Indiana is making her mark in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry. She featured in movies like Lord of the Underworld, Street War, Treasure Island. Soap Operas like Sunita and Broadway. For Modelling she has been on billboards, press and prints for Malta Guiness. Who is Oge indiana?

Oge Indiana is an actress, dancer/model from Anambra State, Nigeria.

What is your full name(s)and why indiana?how did the name come about?

My full names are Onyeonwu Oge Indiana. Well, when I was much younger, I was a huge fan of Aishwarya Rai she is my role model. She is a model and an Bollywood actress, I have always watched her movies noticed their glamourous lifestyle in their movies and also their dance moves. Not also forgotten the fact that she has a great personality, she was once miss india and also most beautiful girl in the world and presently a brand ambassador for several charity organization. Nevertheless I went disturbing my mum who usually travels to India for business. She bought some Indian things for me cause she noticed I love Indian things. Thereafter, I started dressing like them so my friends started calling me Indiana and that is how the name Indiana came about. In addition to that believe in everything you do in life there is always someone one step ahead of you, so be steadfast and work harder cause rising to the top has different meanings to different people.

Briefly describe your and academics.

I had my high school education at Negbenegbor International School Benin City, finished with a degree in BA that is Bachelors of Art (Theatre Arts) from University of Benin. Yeah that's it so far. I definately have the plans of furthering my education to the next level.

How was growing up as a kid what were your theatrical influences?

I would say growing up, had the good stuff an average kid would have wanted. Always participated in sports like football, race and high jump and did them so well lol, there was no question about my skills. Eventually I stopped participating in sports after my secondary education because I was conscious about my looks I did not want to have a masculine look. On the other side, I listened to music too the likes of Whitney Houston and Micheal Jackson.

When did Acting, Modelling/Dancing become a part of your life?

During my primary/secondary education I had the privilege of learning some musical instrument as part of my music curriculum and also my parents encouraged me. Then my secondary education I always found interest when I see people dancing on the screen cause I also wanted to learn hiphop dance,so participated in arts and cultural day and danced for my house which was (red house) and did so well, so I decided to take it up as a career. As for modelling found myself always catworking and watching modelling events so I picked up fast knowing fully well that am very creative. Then acting came along side which was an inborn talent, cause use to stay on my own and act with myself. So when I was done with secondary education, my Dad asked me what course am going to study then I told him Theatre Arts he said that is good that is my field, of which my Dad is a Proffessor.

So far what movies and modelling jobs have u done? mention a few.

Would say I have been featured in movies like Lord of the Underworld, Street War, Treasure Island. Soap Operas like Sunita and Broadway. It is very important that an actress/model should possess these top 3 skills.
1. Self confidence
2. Originality and 
3. Adaptation into roles,character and outfit.

What do you like to do for fun outside your career?

 I like going on a boat cruise, spending time with my loved ones, watching movies and football. 

Are you currently working on any project?

Yes I am but can't be disclosed.

Are you presently on a contract for Amvictorious?

Certainly am on that contract now. 

What are your long term goals in the entertainment industry? 

After establishing my name as a public figure that is an actress in the industry, intend building a team, it may take time, but the pieces will eventually be put in place. I intend taking Nollywood to the next level whereby Bollywood and Nollywood will collaborate and do something facinating. So for me God is on d drivers seat and am the passenger, so will do my part to plan and work hard and leave the rest to him to manifest my work. 

Do you have an advice for the upcoming actors/actresses, model and dancers? and those who wants to become a model?

Well, put God first in anything you do and always make sure you update yourself with skills determination is the key don't let anyone say to you that you can't make it thereby making you lose focus. There is no height you can't attain when you have the key factors which are Determination, Strong will, Hardwork and Talent. Remember Humility is very important in becoming successful.

Rumour is mischievous Manager says-Goldie is Alive & not Dead

Goldie Harvey,Nigeria’s Female Pop sensation is alive and not dead as speculated by most online media platforms including Linda
Ikeji’s blog.
Goldie’s manager,TeeJay who disclosed this in a tweet stated that it was untrue as her client was still hale and hearty and attributed the story to the works of her enemies.
Linda Ikeji had retweeted a tweet supposedly by Goldie on her handle @goldieharvey and later posted the rumour on her blog and said she confirmed it from Denrenle,Goldie’s friend.
She had said,Goldie went into a coma and was later taken to Reddington Hospital,a top health care provider in Lagos after her arrival in Nigeria from Los Angeles,where she attended the Grammy Award ceremony.
But the report turned out to be untrue as the management of the artiste became furious about the report and denied it as false.

Nollywood actress, Mimi Quaker, who is believed to be a lesbian, has come out to clear the air on the allegation claiming that the girls she often displays on her BBM and other social media networks are the ones she arranges for people.

Hear her, “Most of the directors are my friends and they ask me to bring girls for music videos. So, I organize girls for their videos. All they do is ask me to bring girls with certain specifications and I search for girls with those specifications. Sometimes, I provide nothing less than five girls for a music video and what I do is to get paid from the girls’ payment.”
According to her, her models have to have some features required by her clients, “the shape is the most important feature. The girl must be very curvy with nice skin colour, not necessarily light-skinned and the height doesn’t matter. The type of girls to choose often depends on the director’s specifications. In some instances, the director may require a busty girl, big backside girl or even a slim-waist girl. Generally, a sexy curvy girl passes.”

Mimi was probed again about her sexuality and she said an emphatic no to the lesbian question. In fact, she says she’s in a relationship. She didn’t mention the man’s name and she talked as if he was an imaginary man, so-to-say.
When asked what attracted her to the man she claims to be dating, Mimi answered; “I guess the physique. I also like guys with a good set of teeth. He must also be handsome, tall, well-built and God-fearing.” Mimi who said she started acting in the easiest of ways said she can take up any role in acting; exposing private parts, sex scenes, etc., after all it’s make-believe.

“It was a bit easy for me. I met Chico Ejiro on Facebook and told him about my intention to go into acting. He invited me for an audition and that was how it all started for me,” she said on how she started acting.

BMW makes 4-year old’s Eli dream come true by designing a 19-engined race car

Little did four-year old Eli know that when he fantasized about his dream car to his uncle, that BMW would not only listen, but pen a vehicle just for him. The heart-warming tale began last week at auto enthusiast website Jalopnik, when a reader asked if design-savvy posters would draw up a dream car for his budding enthusiast nephew.
It couldn’t just be any race car—the Bavarian high-performance machine had to have 19 Porsche boxer engines, 42 wheels, three steering wheels being controlled simultaneously by three drivers, and most importantly, a trunk for toys.
Fellow readers submitted their own designs, and following a pledge by BMW on tumblr to sketch their own, the company kept to its promise, revealing the 4219 Eli on BMW USA’s Facebook page. It looks like the Porsche powerplants didn’t make it in, but at least the air vent for the trunk ensures efficient ventilation for the toys.

Iyanya Gets Big Back Tattoo Just Like Tonto Dikeh

Nigerian music rising star, Iyanya, has drawn a huge tattoo on his back. The winner of the first edition of MTN sponsored music talent hunt show, Project Fame, has been on the rise since his 'Kukere' single hit the airwaves in 2012.

In late 2012, it was reported that the Calabar-bred talented artiste dumped Yvonne Nelson for Tonto Dikeh, who also has a very big tattoo on her back.

Even though Iyanya's back tattoo is not the same drawing as Tonto's, it is being asked if the singer is aiming to become the Tonto Dikeh of the Nigerian music industry.

Hot Pants Actress, Nuella Njubigbo Dumps Tchidi And Emenike For Gov. Rotimi Amaechi

No doubt, it's season of enjoyment for the beautiful Nollywood diva called Nuella Njubigbo who is said to have just acquired a brand new 2011 Toyota Highlander, SUV last December 2012. The wonder on wheels estimated to cost a whopping N8million.

Though, Nuella is one actress who is not on the A-list category, her sudden wealth is said to have been traced to series of men she has dated in the past. Before now, she was a darling of the film maker, Tchidi Chikere, when she came into his life, a union of over a decade collapsed irreconcilably.
We gathered that, it was the rumoured pregnancy of Nuella for Tchidi that led to Sophia bidding goodbye to a home she struggled to build. Ever since Sophia has kept mum.

According to a reliable source, when Nuella discovered that she wasn't getting what she expected from Tchidi, a common producer, she moved to date a Russian based footballer, Emanuel Emenike. Her relationship with the handsome rich dude didn't last a year as she was said to have met another lady with Emenike the last time she made a trip to Russia and that put a stop to her frequent visit to the place.

Governor Rotimi Amaechi, who has romanced quite a few Nollywood actresses, according to findings, has caught the eyes of pretty Nuella and they are neck deep in a soaring relationship and Nuella herself, we learnt, is seriously enjoying every moment of the relationship till it lasts.

The smitten lovebirds met in early November 2012 in Port Harcourt where the actress had gone to represent Nollywood stuffs, and numbers were exchanged.

One thing led to another, Nuella thereafter escorted the governor abroad on official trip and when she came back, Amaechi was so smitten that he presented her the SUV which was supposedly taken from items meant for the state government, as we were told.

Amaechi also credited the actress' account with N5 million to get an apartment in the Eastern part of Nigeria, a source stated.

Omotola Ekeinde might be working with international pop star Akon in her next music assignment

Nollywood actress Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde according to reports will be working with international music star Akon and some producers from his Konvict Music on her next album.
After taking a break from music for a while to concentrate on movies and most recently, her reality show, ‘The Real Omosexy’, the mother of four is back in the studio working on her music career.
“I am currently working with Grammy award winning producer Kendrick Dean and Verse Simmonds from Konvict Music and we are looking to feature a special guest,” she disclosed.
Omotola did not want to let the cat out of the bag yet but her aides disclosed that the ‘special guest’ she intends to feature is no other person than the award winning, Senegalese-born star, Akon.
Omosexy, as the actress is fondly called has been on and off music since her first album Gba in 2006.
