This is a short tribute to Goldie Harvey –
Susan Adebimpe Filani, A Nigerian pop star who very tragically
passed away on Valentine's Day, one of the most celebrated days in the
year, after attending the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, USA. Her life's
journey unfortunately ended at Reddington’s Hospital, Victoria Island,
Lagos, Nigeria.
Goldie
was an energetic stage performer renowned for her use of flamboyant
costumes on and off camera. She was an international icon with a fan
base worldwide. She always had the longing to express herself
creatively, having been inspired by music, but was held captive by a
deep shyness and the laws of her strict upbringing.
Amongst
everything, she had a deep sense of gratitude believing and
appreciating every single growth in her musical career as expressed in
her last musical video SKIBOBO Feat. AY brought to you by Kennis Music.
There
are no words that can accurately describe the sadness that we all feel
at the passing of this talented, beautiful, original songstress -Goldie who had so much more to live for. She will be sorely missed by everyone in the industry and beyond.
